2003 OSWER Innovations Pilot Project
Final Report: September 30, 2003 – March 31, 2005

This is an excellent example of an IF&WMS-style project with appropriate economic analyses: proof that doing the right thing can be profitable, as well. EPA awarded Sustainable Conservation a $29,000 grant and they conducted this great study - good job!

Sustainable Conservation – a California group “because the environment is everyone’s business”

Succinct descriptions of methane biodigesters and maps of those in California - solid site.

In the for-what-its-worth category, California is worth considering; here's a state where most of the food in the United STates is grown, one of the largest world economies in-and-of its own right, and they tend to be on or near the leading edge of renewable energy opportunities and sustainable business developments, as well as government regulations that touch on environmental issues. Not for nothing: what will it take for other states to take notice and follow suit? More on this pending to the blog area...
