Born and raised in Cambridge, MA, Luke Bornheimer is the younger of two sons, born to Carole Bellew and Bill Bornheimer. Watching his two entrepreneurial parents in action, Luke quickly inherited their desire. His mother started her own accounting firm and his father followed many ventures, ranging from Russia to downtown Boston.
After completing his elementary and junior high years at the Graham & Parks Alternative School located in his hometown, Luke headed to Litchfield, CT for his high school years.
Luke, who has decoding and encoding learning disabilities, attended The Forman School, a college preparatory school for students with learning disabilities. While attending Forman, Luke was elected All-School President by his peers and teachers, as well as graduating with a high honors diploma. Luke attends Bryant University in Smithfield, RI, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, with a concentration in management.
Luke has worked and interned at Waypoint Development LLC., the Office of State Senator Jarrett T. Barrios, and the Fresh Pond Golf Course, where Luke works full-time during the summers.
Luke’s future aspirations include starting his own business and pursuing various environmental and tropical ecological projects. After taking a Tropical Ecology Seminar class and being part of the Forman School Rainforest Project, in which he worked on a project involving a spider with the world’s strongest fiber, Luke became particularly interested in deforestation and climate change.
